A NEW CD FROM THE ASMARA TEHADDESSO In the hey days the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in Asmara had at least one new cassette recording per year. And the ministry had imposed itself in the whole catholic circle. Every choir in the country prided itself of the collection and on singing the latest songs on Sundays. 19 cassettes in a few years. Then a long and suffered long period of absolute silence fell on the "Tehadeso Choir." Why? No one will ever be able to explain: and it was not that the choir was not trying to put up a recording, but to no avail. No amount of encouragement, requests, appeals ever succeeded. But at the end their efforts they came up with the 20th cassette which has also a CD version. "Stay with us!" (or more exactly "Pass the night at our place!") is the label of the new recording and the first song. the recording and mixing House was done by the Mega Mix Studio, Asmara, Eritrea. The compositions, 10 in numbers, are all published anonymously, as in the Tehadeso tradition in Eritrea. The coordinator of the project is Aaron Berhan.
